Run with Endurance – Hebrews 12:1
Run with endurance the race set before you.
This race requires endurance. It will take effort. It will be an obstacle course
Get busy living. Look for any and all opportunities to have hope, share hope, be hope.
Just keep on. Move forward with perseverance. Keep doing the things you’ve committed to doing, when you feel like it and when you don’t.
This personifies my mother’s way of living. Even during treatment, she looked forward to seeing the friends she’d made at the Cancer Center. Finding out about their kids and grand kids. Still attending her own grand kids sporting events, band concerts, birthday parties. Even when they shied away because she’d lost her hair.
Her faith and trust in the hope of heaven, no more pain, no more brokenness kept her moving forward. She lived her life, continually giving. At her last doctor visit, the nurses and doctors all came to speak to her. She understood what this meant. Did she accept the message because of her faith and knowing where she would spend eternity? I don’t know. But I did.
